Wei Zhou
Hello! My name is Wei Zhou. I am a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at the University of Arizona.I am interested in empirical studies of online markets and digital platforms, with primary focuses in the areas of e-commerce, online labor markets, and FinTech. I use economic theory and empirical methods to solve real business problems related to platform growth and mechanism design.
Specifically, my dissertation examines the impacts of platform search design on consumer online behaviors and firm competition strategies, by collaborating with the leading e-commerce company Alibaba.
My work has appeared in major conferences and workshops including International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS), Conference on Information Systems and Technology (CIST), Marketing Science Conference, and CODE@MIT. My research has been supported by the research grant from the NET Institute. I received Best Paper Award in Digital Commerce and the Digitally Connected Enterprise Track at ICIS 2020 and Best Student Paper Award Nomination at CIST 2020.
I am on the job market in 2020-21 and available for virtual meetings.
